Visit and Volunteer
Welcome and thank you for connecting with us. It is lovely to have you here!
We do not have accommodation on the farm at present. We are working on it. We do not provide tents or basic huts because of the legalities of accommodation and the vulnerability of the land where we live.
Local Volunteering
We are looking for local volunteers to help us on the farm. If it is just a few hours a week or more, you can come and be part of our farm project. We would be happy to have you here and have some tea and cake afterward. To find out more about local volunteering, click here!
Farm Stay Volunteering
If you would like to work for a week or 2 weeks on the farm, we have local accommodation options, and can connect you. You will need to pay the accommodation cost but we will make sure you are fed each day and this might be something that interests you if you are looking to explore Galician farm life, do a working holiday and build on existing skills. Accomodation ranges from 35 to 60 euros per night.
The important thing for you to consider...
By volunteering on our farm, we hope you will grow and enjoy the escape into the hills of the Ribeira Sacra. The experience is about finding peace and connection with the land and location, not really with us. Although we do love a good old chat we respect that this is a very spiritual area and it should be respected as such.
Local volunteers Tuesdays and Thursdays
If you live locally and would like to visit and support the farm a day a week, we have a volunteering day starting in July. On tuesdays and thursdays from 9am to 12:30, you are welcome to help us on the land with our general farm chores. If you are looking to connect and do a little fun physical labour, there is always something that needs help. We break off at 11:30 for a little brunch/snack and then finish at 12:30pm.
To volunteer on the farm, we just ask for a quick video call and explain how the farm works and the perameters of what we need. Animal care is generally not included in volunteering unless it is a long-term commitment and we feel that we can rely on people with some of the challenges that come with animal care. If you are looking for some insight into Homesteading and the reality that comes with it, or you would like to socialise and be involved, then be sure to hit the button and connect!
Farm Stay Volunteering - Week Stay
Be part of our project to grow into sustainability and create a connection between farming and nature.
If you would like to develop and grow or just see into the world of homesteading and husbandry, you can apply to visit us for a week. There is accomodation in the local town and on the river. If you have your own transport, you can take the opportunity to visit local beauty spots and historical locations. Taboada is a very cultural town full of facinating events during the summer months.
If you plan to volunteer over a week, we can give you more indepth projects to work on with us and be part of our seasonal work. Below, you will see what this entails for 2026
