Local Volunteers

If you would like to help us on the farm on Tuesdays or Thursdays, be sure to send us a message telling us a little bit about you and we will organise a call.

Volunteer days are:

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12:30pm.  You can stay later but in summer months it is very hot!

We do ask for a little commitment.  Our experience in the past is that people say they will come which shifts our daily work and time and then they do not arrive or message late the night before to change their commitment or cancel.  This really disrupts our time and puts more pressure on us.  

Please understand that while this is a volunteering opportunity, it is our time and our home.  If you are serious about supporting us and are timely and reliable, we would love to have you here.  We will let you know after the first day if we feel we would like you to continue with us.  You may decide it is not for you, and that is also ok.

2026 Lift off Projects

  • Land Clearance

    All year we will be clearing areas, improving our composting plans, and establishing where are resources are and should be. Soil and water, plant study will enable us to develop our land use.

    JUNE TO OCTOBER

  • Flowers and Vegetables

    We have started working on a site for our Flowers and Food. This year we are just getting things started but need help with weeding, clearing and plant managment.

    JULY TO SEPTEMBER

  • HARVESTING

    In late summer and early autumn we yeild the fruit and joy of the land. There will be wood harvesting and a lot of nut and fruit harvesting. We will be working on storage and preserves

    SEPTEMBER TO OCTOBER

  • 2027 Land Preparation

    Working on compost sites, and preparing our growing sites or new fields will be essential as we head into mid autumn to early winter before the rain arrives. This time of year is variable but great for transformation projects.
